A Case of Edward's Syndrome(Trisomy 18 Syndrome) Diagnosed by in 16 Gestational Weeks

Abstract

|
Edward's syndrome(Trisomy 18 syndrome) in 2nd most common autosomal abnormally, disease, which has multiple cogenital anomalies. Neonates who affected this disease have severe growth and mental retardation. 30 percent of these neonates die within
1
month and 90 precent of these die within 1 year.
Because of this bad prognosis, early diagnosis of Edward's syndrome was important.
We recently experence a case of Edward's syndrome, diagnosed by triple marker test in pregnancy for 16 wks 4 days. We report here with a brief review of the literatures.
